Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-11

These terms (“Terms”) apply to your use of the IsItDown website and its website status checking tool (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The service

IsItDown provides a browser-based tool that tests whether a website is reachable from your own device. The Service is provided free of charge, for general information purposes only.

2. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Results depend on your network, your device, and the behavior of third parties. We do not guarantee that any particular result is accurate, complete, or current.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • harass, abuse, or harm any person or organization;
  • circumvent access controls of any system or network;
  • use the tool to conduct attacks, including distributed denial-of-service activity;
  • scrape or load the Service in an automated way that materially degrades it for others;
  • violate any applicable law or regulation.

4. Third-party websites

The Service lets you test third-party websites that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and a check you run does not constitute any endorsement of that website.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IsItDown and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or from any results it reports.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new “last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
